'Typus Orbis Terrarum' World Map ice bucket

Vintage ice bucket with plastic interior and knob, c. 1960's. 
This fabulous retro ice bucket features the Typus Orbis Terrarum (The Plan of the World's Lands) world map. One of the most famous world maps ever made, Typus Orbis Terrarum featured in the world's first atlas, Theatrum Orbis Terrarum by Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598).

With metal handle and white plastic interior, it is a nice large (diameter) ice bucket and would look fantastic on a bar cart or gifted to a home bar enthusiast and vintage lover. The metal banding and lid have age related wear and tarnish, but in overall good vintage condition. The knob is plastic, quite common for ice buckets of this era. A wonderful unique ice bucket with a renowned map exterior.
