Rare Davidson Glass footed cake plate RD 340825

Beautiful example of English pressed glass, this footed plate can be used for small cakes and sweets. Made by George Davidson & Co, England, circa late 1800's.

Details on this pedestal plate include a radiating intricate multi square pattern with star centre detail. With undulating edge and wave detail rim. The pattern reflects the light wonderfully with the detail within each small square, almost has a sparkly look to it.
Please check the measurements, it is a small cake stand in terms of the diameter of a cake (would fit a standard 8" cake) or use for petit fours or other individual sweets.
This pattern was registered in 1899 and has the registered design number 340825 embossed on the plate surface. A rare pattern seldom seen.
 
Wonderful style glass piece and highly collectible antique Davidson glass. In very good condition, evidence of use in small scratches/utensil marks on the top surface. One very small/minor chip to edge as pictured.
