Koshida (of Japan) Rare Art Glass Centrepiece Bowl in Cherry Red

This magnificent handblown rare Japanese art glass bowl is by Koshida, made in Japan.
An amazing red and clear cased piece, very thick heavy art glass decorative and collectible centrepiece bowl.

The form is stunning, and has beautiful controlled curves/fingers to each end with polished, footed base and rolled top basket-like handle. A  work of art in a beautiful rich red. 

A wonderful and unique mid century art glass collector's piece for display or as a table centrepiece.
In excellent condition, very minor tiny chip to base underneath (can be seen in photo 8).

Koshida Glass was a Japanese glass producer that produced art glass primarily in the 1940's. They were known for their unique designs, crafted with hand-blown techniques. This centrepiece bowl is the perfect example of this beautiful craftsmanship.
