Collectible studio pottery centrepiece by Frank Candy, made in England, c.1940s.
This impressively large and heavy piece features a brown glaze base with a striking fire-inspired central art design. Its tri handled design makes it useful as a large party platter, and its artistic form creates a stunning standalone centrepiece.
Frank Candy started the Great Western Pottery c.1875 producing various homeware items. In the late 1930s the more artistic wares being produced were renamed ‘Candy Ware' with beautiful glaze and colour effects, this piece being an example.
In excellent vintage condition.
