Corbell & Co Cherub Bowl with Cobalt Blue Insert

A Rococo Revival metal footed bowl with cobalt blue glass insert by Corbell & Co, made in England, c.1950s.

This decorative bowl features an ornate gold-toned frame with openwork cherub detail, four ornate legs and a removable glass insert. The glass bowl is in a striking cobalt blue, with scallop detail rim. 

Corbell & Co was established in London in 1946, and their designs are often identified as reproductions of earlier, more opulent 18th-century Rococo and Baroque designs. This bowl is a striking example.

In excellent vintage condition.
