Davidson Footed Cake Stand

A beautiful example of English pressed glass by George Davidson & Co, made in England, c.late 1800s.

Details on this pedestal plate include a radiating intricate multi square pattern with star centre detail. With undulating edge and wave detail rim. The pattern reflects the light wonderfully with the detail within each small square, giving it a sparkle finish. This is the registered design number 340825 (embossed to plate surface). A rare pattern seldom seen.

A small cake stand, it is just under 8" and would fit a standard 6" cake, or use for petit fours or other individual sweets. 

A classic and collectible Davidson glass piece.

In overall very good condition, with evidence of use in small scratches/utensil marks on the top surface, consistent with age, and one very small chip to edge (pictured).
