Watcombe Pottery Motto Ware Sugar and Creamer Set

An adorable motto ware design set of sugar bowl and creamer by Watcombe Pottery, made in England, c.1950s.

Both pieces have a hand impressed signature and number, NI 1476. The clever design is such that the creamer sits perfectly atop the sugar bowl. The sugar bowl has 'be aisy with the sugar', whilst the creamer has 'take a little cream'. This type of motto ware was popular from the early part of the century, through to 1960.

A delightful set and addition to your coffee and tea service, or a wonderful collector's item.

In excellent vintage condition.
