Japanese pitcher form hand blown art glass vase

Attractive form hand blown Japanese art glass vase.
This art glass piece is thought to be by Kamei, Japan, however the label has only remnants left on the base. It has a beautiful mottled red and white glass design with ribbed side detail, in pitcher form.

A wonderful mid century art glass collector's piece for simple display or to be used as a small statement vase. 

Kamei was a Japanese glassworks based in Osaka, known for producing art glass primarily from the 1960's to the 1990's. Their work was similar to that of European glassmakers at the time, but with unique Japanese finishing techniques and colours. This example is similar to the Barovier & Toso pitcher vases of the same era.

In excellent vintage condition.
