Chance Bros. 'Swirl' Plate Collection

A collection of 'Swirl' pattern glass plates by Chance Bros., made in England, c.1950s.

Chance Bros. produced industrial and optical glass in the early 20th century, and started producing domestic wares during the 1920s. This 'Swirl' pattern is a light grey printed on the reverse with gold gilt edges and designed by Margaret Cassons.

The set consists of and oval platter, two round plates and a decorative wave edge plate.

In overall excellent vintage condition, some minor wear to gold edge and minor signs of use on plate surface (not all pieces affected).
