Nice example of mid century pressed glass, a small vase with hobstar and stripe pattern, and square scalloped top rim.
This celery vase has the word 'celery' imprinted near the top rim, indicating it was around the time of WWII when manufacturers were not allowed to produce vases because they were considered art glass (between 1942 - 1952). Glass manufacturers were permitted to produce tableware glass items, therefore this vase is marked 'celery' even though it is not the traditional shape of a celery vase.
Wonderful style collectible glass piece, unfortunately does has one small chip to rim as pictured.
Measures approx.
110mm diameter (top), 75mm diameter (base) x 140mm (H)
