Strombergshyttan Sweden Ice Blue Art Glass Bowl T367
A collectible art glass bowl by Studioglas Strömbergshyttan, made in Sweden, introduced in 1959 (T367).
With its large form, thick glass construction and subtle colour, this piece reflects the clean lines, restrained elegance and superb quality associated with mid century Scandinavian glass design. The stunning ice blue tone adds colour without overpowering, and would suit both modern and vintage interiors.
It has an impressive weight at just over 2.8kg and would make a statement table centrepiece on its own, styled with a floral arrangement, or a unique collectors gift.
Strömbergshyttan Glassworks is synonymous with mid-century Swedish glass.
Founded in 1876, and later bought by Orrefors in 1976. Strömbergshyttan’s pieces can be found in many museum collections, including the Swedish National Museum of Art & Design.
In overall excellent vintage condition, with some minor surface wear/scratches to the glass bowl, consistent with age and use.
