A Sgraffito style decorative wall plate. Beautiful detailed folk art style of a central bird with edge pattern and scalloped rim.
This piece is signed by the artist and is in the black pottery style common in Hungary. This pottery is hand made and decorated individually so each piece is unique. This bowl/plate consists of 2 layers. There is one small chip to the underneath layer, as pictured, which does not affect the top decorative part on display.
It is an unglazed piece for decoration and not for direct food contact. Could be used as a decorative bowl rather than a wall piece. The art has a lovely shine to it in the light.
Measures approx. 215mm diameter. Has loop for hanging.
