Royal Zuid Holland 1947 'Mara' Ceramic Clog Pair

A rare pair of ceramic clog ornaments by Royal Zuid Holland, c.1940s.

These Gouda pottery clogs are beautifully hand painted featuring a colourful floral design with bright green interior glaze. Each clog has a rear hole for joining and hanging.

These are the 'Mara' pattern, a rare pair from 1947. The markings include the artist, mould and design numbers, and the Gate of Lazarus symbol found on Royal Zuid Holland ceramics.
