This postcard illustrates the representatives of the various Allied forces against Germany, France as Raymond Poincare, Italy represented by King Victor Emmanuel III (Vittorio Emanuele), England by David Lloyd George and Russia by Tsar Nicholas II. With roughly translated excerpt of a poem by Berchet printed on the back -

"are united, closed in a league. 
The foreigner, to the flagpole that she unfurls, 
will give the dye with his blood" - Berchet

Unposted post card with interesting notation on the back from a collector's album. In very good condition, some wear to edges. Great collectors card.

All postcards are sent with cardboard reinforcement to protect from bending.
